Northern Lapwing Mating Display

In a farmer’s field by a stretch of coastline in North Northumberland. Two Northern Lapwings perform their mating display. Maybe it’s the plumage, maybe it’s the high pitch alien squeaks, or maybe it’s the dramatic dive bombing but there’s something ‘extra’ about the Northern Lapwing as the youngins would say. Sadly they’re on a rapid decline and are on a Red list for threatened birds globally.
