I convinced my little boy to put down his iPad and come and join me for a bit of boredom on the beach. Turns out creativity✨naturally flows from being bored. Here’s a sea-coal family he got really into. If you look closely, one is reading a book/clamshell 😂💖

What does it mean to be spiritual anyway? Living spiritually is done on the vertical...we pray upwards...all our church spires and mosques point up to the heavens and our spiritual chakra is located on the crown of our head. We lower ourselves to the ground in prayer. That's an up-down vertical plane of spiritual existence.
What about the horizontal? Most of life takes place on the horizontal. You're not above or below the cashier at the grocery store. We're not in exalted states of consciousness when we do the dishes.
I'm not sure if we need to bring more of our vertical into the horizontal or try and bring the horizontal up to the vertical. Probably a bit of both.
Let's see if we can figure this out.
